Join us July 31 – August 1, 2026, at Brookins AME Church in Oakland, California, for the 8th Annual Repaired Nations Black Solidarity Cooperative Conference, a two-day gathering dedicated to advancing community ownership, economic democracy, and cultural preservation.

This year's theme, "Cooperatives and Culture," explores how our traditions, values, creativity, and collective action can help build thriving, community-owned economies.

Bringing together Black and Indigenous organizers, cooperative leaders, artists, land stewards, entrepreneurs, youth, and community members, the conference will feature engaging workshops, thought-provoking panels, cultural experiences, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with people committed to creating a more just and resilient future.

Whether you are new to cooperative economics or an experienced practitioner, you will gain practical tools, inspiration, and connections that support community wealth building, land stewardship, democratic ownership, and collective prosperity.

While the conference centers Black cooperative history, leadership, and community-building, all are welcome to attend. We invite people of all backgrounds who are interested in cooperation, community ownership, economic justice, and cultural preservation to join us in learning, sharing, and building together.
