What We Want to See From Our Performers
Choose a Black genius from the 1920s or 1930s whose story, talent, innovation, leadership, or creativity deserves to be brought back to life.
Through music, dance, spoken word, acting, storytelling, fashion, or another creative expression, introduce that person to the audience and show us who they were, what they accomplished, and why their legacy still matters today.
While Legacy of Black Genius centers Black history and excellence, performers of all ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Connect Your Performance to Today
We also want each performance to highlight a business participating in the event—whether it is your own business or another participating business you choose to support.
Find a creative way to weave that business, product, service, or brand into your performance while staying connected to the 1920s–1930s theme.
Bring history to life. Celebrate genius. Support today’s entrepreneurs.
